I love listening to the quiet chatter in the moments before a wedding, until the whispers subside and silence falls as the bride prepares to make her entrance. The first note is played as she walks down the aisle... There are plenty of choices when it comes to musicians but strings always prove popular and, I must admit, they are one of my faves - elegant, classical and so romantic; they add a sense of both calm and grandeur to your special day.
Toscana Strings are a quintet of musicians who all studied at the Birmingham Conservatoire. Highly trained, exceptionally talented and with 20 years experience playing weddings, events and concerts, their music is extraordinary and makes a fabulous addition to your day.
Whilst many string ensembles come in the form of trios or quartets, Toscana have a very special, much richer sound with the addition of a double bass. And, since they can play such a broad spectrum of styles, the possibilities are endless - whether you want traditional wedding music or a classical twist on a recent hit, it all sounds fantastic when played so beautifully on strings!
What’s more - these ladies love what they do. Being professional musicians and artists, they spend much of their time performing and touring with well known bands, playing with other local ensembles and even teaching music for a living. But they adore being part of your special occasions, and will go above and beyond to make it truly special.
They have a wide range of music for you to choose from and will happily learn new pieces for you where possible, at no extra cost. They have many frequent bookers and are a preferred supplier at some truly fabulous venues. They even offer to create a personalised CD for you with recordings of the music from your special day, so that you can keep and listen back to those special songs forever. True professionals and so passionate about their music, you know you’re in good hands.
It’s not just weddings they do, either. As well as participating in concerts and performances, Toscana are available for dinners, charity nights and other special events. They also perform their ‘Stories Set To Music’ - a brilliant idea which sees them delivering educational music within schools… even in 2020!
You can listen to their audio clips and videos online to get a real taste of the beautiful music they create - from classical favourites to modern melodies, they can do it all! Check out this gorgeous trailer for starters:
