I absolutely love looking at the work of a professional photographer. For a few reasons - firstly, they are so great at what they do. I mean they make it look easy, don’t they? But it’s a fine art! Secondly, I love that they all have their own style. Thirdly, they manage to capture some really special moments that are a joy to look back on for years to come.
Choosing a photographer for your wedding, or any event for that matter, is a big decision. Your pictures will last forever and they should be something you feel proud to reminisce over, or pull out and show off to your loved ones! You want to pick someone whose style suits your personality - soft, dark, whimsical or wild… you need your photographer to “get you” and be on your wavelength all the way.
I love the photos from Stephanie Butt - a brilliant Brummie who values having a bit of banter with her couples. So if you’re up for breaking boundaries, and moving away from the wooden, posed wedding photos, Steph could be the girl for you!
She describes herself as having a fun, relaxed style, and she loves something a little quirky and colourful - the more confetti the better! Steph likes to take some time getting to know you over a coffee or a beer, and making sure she captures your day YOUR WAY.
It’s all about making your photos fun and reflective of your personality, doing away with the staged static photos and injecting a little more life and love into your day. Steph has a knack for capturing your most special moments and getting natural, authentic shots of you and your guests at their happiest, and also snapping those little details of the day that you may miss whilst you’re off enjoying yourselves but will love to look back on one day!
I came across Steph during lockdown when I noticed she has taken some doorstep snaps, and she is still offering family photoshoots in your garden at a safe distance! It’s all about remembering life’s most interesting moments, and doing it in a way that brings a smile to your face!
Have a look at Steph’s awesome website to find out more, and make sure you give her Instagram a follow too!
