Oh, the prettiness! I love it when people dare to be bold with their blooms - don’t get me wrong, traditional can look so tasteful but there is something that really grabs you about a bouquet that is bright and brazen!
I am NOT the most creative person, so it astounds me when someone can make even a simple vase of flowers look exciting with colours, textures and depth. Now imagine this on a huge scale - when you see a venue transformed with flowers floor to ceiling, and the bride’s bouquet that really pops as she walks down the aisle. Sometimes it pays to be brave!
Sarah started Olive Owl Flowers in 2015, going full time around three years ago, and has been learning and developing her style to make it what it is today - beautifully unique blooms with colours and textures to die for!
Her business has three main elements: wedding and event flowers, workshops, and flower preservation. She also has an online shop where you can order pots, bottles, bespoke designs and even bits for bath and shower. During lockdown, it’s been booming as flower deliveries have been taking place each week, with a beautiful new design revealed each time. And, let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want their home filled with these beauties?!
And her weddings are just wonderful! They create hand ties, table flowers, floral towers and so much more - there is an extensive list of options over on the website, but they can be made totally bespoke to you so that you can use them how and when you see fit throughout your day.
Sarah comes from a super creative background, and loves to use a little imagination in her designs. They take inspiration from wild, natural settings and blend delicate flowers with different colours and feels to make truly innovative, interesting pieces.
