As you know I spend a lot of time researching various suppliers, and part of that means scouring Instagram and looking through their websites to get photos of their work. Every time I put a pic up on this site, I make sure I credit it back to the photographer. And one name kept cropping up time and time again…
It seemed that most of my favourite photos had been taken by Chloe Mary Photo, so I checked her out and I completely fell in love with what I saw. These are photographs that look like they belong in the pages of glossy magazines showing luxurious, painfully expensive, weddings - and I mean that in the best way! There is a quality about these photos and a finesse in them that looks almost too good to be true.
Chloe is based in Bristol and, in her words, is “a little too ‘arty’ for her own good”, but that’s how she gets these fabulous results. She uses a combination of documentary and reportage styles to tell the story of your day in her pictures and captures natural moments as they happen, from the serene to the just plain silly!
Her main goal is to make sure you feel relaxed, to allow you to enjoy your wedding day without being whisked away from your guests for too many awkward, staged photographs, and for her to be open to how you want your wedding day to be - if it means breaking with tradition then so much the better. “It’s raw, it’s real and it’s rad!”
Having always been a creative person Chloe had some knowledge of photography from her time spent at college, but she’s navigated her own way into the world of weddings by practising, researching and learning as she goes. And she does it all herself - the planning, the shooting, the editing, the admin… you name it. So when you book you’re signing up for some of the most stunning wedding photography that’s out there PLUS her undivided attention and incredible talent and skills too.
Chloe only takes on 30 weddings per year, so that she can focus fully on each of her couples. She does offer extras such as couples shoots, photo books and albums, and she can arrange a second photographer to be there for you too - to capture extra snaps, give another perspective and help out in those moments when your party is in more than one location (such as morning prep for the men and the women).
It's hard to believe photographs like this could be yours, but they can! This is someone that you just know lives for her art, and for finding the beauty in the moments shared on your most special of occasions. And if that's not the sort of person you'd want to hire for your wedding, I don't know what is.
You can see lots of examples of her work on her website, on her Instagram and probably dotted around this site, too!
